Trevor Ravenscroft is the most publicized researcher and chronologer of the Spear. In tracing
the path of the Spear, Ravenscroft implies that it was instrumental in several significant battles between European Empires.
It was present when Saxon King Heinrich defeated the Magyars. Pope John XII used it to christen Heinrich's son Otto the Great as Holy Roman Emperor; Otto carried it into victory
over the Mongolian Hordes in the Battle of Leck. Constantine claimed that he was guided by divine providence via the Spear in his victory at Milvian Bridge, which established Christianity as the Official Religion of
the Holy Roman Empire. Constantine also used it while surveying the floor plans of his new city, Constantinople.
After bulldozing heathens for centuries in the name of "good", the spear fell into the hands of the "Ecclesiastical Bigot" Justinian, tainting the spear with a
"dark evil quality". It was this dark quality and the supposed divine power of the spear that enthralled Adolph Hitler. The Nazis were fascinated with relics of all religions and were believed to be
dabblers in the occult as well. Following the fall of the Third Reich, General Patton was terrified to find that they were in possession of the Spear. He was afraid that the U.S. would have to carry out its
"Destiny" with atomic force.
